Ben Alberts Eco Wildlife (BAEW) is located 5 kilometers before reaching the town of Thabazimbi when approaching from Brits/Rustenburg on the R510 and is a convenient 3 hour drive from Gauteng. We are situated right next to the Thabazimbi Gold Club. BAEW is a project of Arcelormittal’s Thabazimbi Iron Ore Mine and incorporates 10 000ha's of game farms, a 2500 ha Nature Reserve and a lodge, sleeping 32 persons comfortably.

BAEW is 52 years old and forms part of the legacy which Thabazimbi Mine, being a socially responsible company, will leave behind for the community of Thabazimbi after the mine has officially closed in 2035.

BAEW is a bow hunters dream offering record Nyala, Bushbuck, Impala. Kudu, Warthog and Wildebeest are also available.

Other species occurring on the farms are Waterbuck, Eland, Zebra, Giraffe, Hartebeest, Mountain Rhebuck and huge variety of smaller mammals and as one can expect in prime bush veld country, hundreds of species of birds.

Our Chalets are comfortable with ensuite bathrooms, kitchenettes, DSTV & air conditioners.

The Kudu Lapa is perfect for reunions, birthday, parties & so much more.

Kudu Lodge has its own (self catering bar, lounge, dining area, kitchen, outside lapa and boma which can cater for large groups of up to 30 guests

Kudu 1: sleeps 2 persons with the option of a sleeper couch for an additional 2. It has a separate kitchen and bathroom

Kudu’s 3 – 4: Single room with a double bed and a kitchenette as well as ensuite bathroom

All 4 Kudus are clustered around the lodge

Gemsbok and Nyala are 3 bedroomed Chalets with a lounge, bathroom and private outside braai area. They can each sleep 8 person using the sleeper couch option

Klipspringer 1 & 2 stand alone about 100m away and are in a lovely secluded part of the lodge

Klip 1: can sleep 4, has a lounge and separate kitchen

Klip 2: sleeps 2 and has an open plan kitchenette as well as a bathroom

All accommodation units have fridges, air conditioning, WiFI, bathrooms, TV, towels & security.

The swimming pool area is a lovely shady spot for day visitors who just want to chill, swim and braai with a group of friends and family.

We have a conference room with a small kitchen that can host 20 delegates.

The Kudu Lodge has a lounge, self catering bar, dining room, kitchen, outdoor lapa, boma.

Cutlery and crockery can be provided.

Game Drives and walks can be arranged.

Mountain Bikers are welcome and of course, it’s a bird watchers paradise.
